Hilltop Women’s Group

We held our traditional, brief AGM in April. Thank you to Jos Bryant for her sterling work as secretary, and Carol Galsworthy who plays with the money so cleverly. The other stalwart committee members all agreed to continue in their roles. We welcomed Amanda Church, who brought us our new collecting tin from The Blossom Charity, our chosen charity for the coming year. She explained about the wonderful work they do, supporting breast cancer patients with makeover days at Dream On, the shop in Eye, which not only sells clothes, but supports individuals during times of change in their lives. You may have seen Amanda on The One Show on Thursday 23^rd April. She was the recipient of a surprise Big Thank You. Given to her by Vicky Gill and Amy Dowden, from the Strictly programme. It happened at a big fashion show held recently to help with fundraising. You can still catch up on BBC1.

On Tuesday 12^th May, we have our annual mystery outing. Please meet at the Village Hall at 1 o’clock, with some pocket money for refreshments, and cars will be allocated. Sue Merriam will tote the clipboard. 01449 766222.
