September brought a change to our rota of cooks as sadly Avril Dance, who was to cook our main meal, had a family bereavement. We want to send her all our love at this difficult time. Thanks to Harriet Bowes who stepped in and cooked a great Quiche which was enjoyed by all. Rachel Cohen brought us a berry crumble with cream which made a wonderful dessert for our meal.

Next month we meet on Wednesday, 14^th October at the usual time of 12.00 and plan to dine at 12.30. We welcome residents of Wickham Skeith who are 55 years old or over, or those who attend one of the clubs or groups in Wickham Skeith regularly, but who don’t live in our village. Partners of eligible members are also welcome as are friends or relatives staying with a member. The cost is £5 for a two-course meal with coffee or tea.  We will be holding our usual raffle so if you are able, please bring along an item for our raffle table.
