Halloween Pub Night - 1st November from 7pm

Come and join us for a spooktastic evening at our Halloween Pub Night on Saturday 1st November in the Village Hall. The bar will be open and you are welcome to come in your very best/worst Halloween outfits. We will be splitting the hall in half so come and enjoy the spooky fun and games at one end of the hall or just come to enjoy a pint in the pub end at the bar. All  welcome.

Afternoon Teas – 25th November

We have applied for the “Living Well in Winter” Grant again this year. We are planning to run our Afternoon tea events again this winter and the first one is planned for Tuesday 25th November from 2pm to 4pm. Teas and coffees will be served with a selection of savouries, scones and cakes. Our fun quizzes will return, and a selection of games and activities will be on offer. Hopefully, if our bid is successful these events will be free of charge. Further dates to be confirmed later.

November Quiz Night – 29th November 7:30pm – Quizmaster Nigel Merriam

Returning in November is our popular Quiz Night designed and run by Nigel Merriam ably assisted by Sue Merriam. We invite teams of up to 8 people (smaller teams welcome too) and there will be a light supper of cheeses, cold meats, bread and pickles served in the interval. The Bar will open throughout the evening.

Please book online for the quiz at https://wickham-skeith-village-hall.sumupstore.com/  or point your phone at the QR Code here. Each ticket costs £10and includes a light supper and a game of “Heads or Tails”. It does not matter if you are not in a team, that can be arranged on the night. It is important that people book ahead so that we know numbers coming.

As well as being an enjoyable evening, this raises money to help the village hall costs.

Plum Pudding Walk – 29th December 10am

Our Annual Plum pudding walk is an ideal opportunity to walk off some of the excesses of the season. Come and join us for a glass of mulled wine at 10am followed by a walk. Then enjoy a lunch of soup and bread at 12 midday (non-walkers welcome). Dogs welcome too.
