Our November meeting was a huge success. We had the pleasure of welcoming Mary Newton who explained the intricacies and dedication required to be a forensic scientist, inspiring her work. A great, down to earth, informative speaker who threw light on two prominent cold cases which were part of the department’s workload.

We hope to have her back to speak to us….if we book her up in advance….as this was just her introductory talk this time. Watch this space!

Our December meeting is on Tuesday 9^th, at The White Horse Hotel for our Christmas Meal. 6.30 for 7pm please and don’t forget a wrapped gift for our snowball basket.

Our January event, Tuesday 13^th 2026, in the Village Hall at 7pm…please note the time…is our annual film night with popcorn and chocolate ices and a mini quiz for points for the competition(for those who wish to take part.)

The film will be Six Minutes to Midnight, based on a true story and has some good folk in it. A night out in the warm village hall with friends and neighbours and all for £1.00. Or £3.00 for visitors.

And so another year slides off into history.

Huge thanks to all who are part and parcel of Hilltops.

We have another diverse year coming up, and the new members who have joined have been made most welcome.

We wish you all a healthy, happy Christmas and New Year brimming with lots of good things.
