Village Lunch

We enjoyed a great meal of Roast Gammon followed by Apple Crumble last month. Thanks to the team of cooks.

Next month is our celebratory Christmas lunch! We will be serving up a feast of Turkey, Pigs in Blankets, Roast Potatoes and all the trimmings plus of course Christmas pudding and Mince pies and Coffee or tea. You will also enjoy a complimentary glass of wine with your meal. We meet on Wednesday 10^th December at the usual time of 12.00 and plan to dine at 12.30. The club welcomes residents of Wickham Skeith who are 55 years old or over or those who attend one of the clubs or groups in Wickham Skeith regularly but who do not live in our village. Partners of eligible members are also welcome as are friends or relatives staying with a member. The cost is still £4 for a 2-course meal with coffee or tea.  The additional cost of the Christmas lunch is subsidized by the “Living Well in Winter” grant thanks to the Mid Suffolk County council. We will be holding our usual big Christmas Raffle and the proceeds from this will help us pay our way in the coming months.

Sadly, we find that it has been impossible these last months to cover our costs and so we have reluctantly decided to raise our fees to £5 per person from January 2026.

There will be no Newsletter in January 2026 but Village Lunch will continue. We will be meeting on 14^th January. If you wish to join us then you will need to book by 10th January.
